2 persons confirmed dead, 15 rescued from collapsed Lagos building

The three-storey building located at No 10 Oremeta Street in Ojudu collapsed at about 8.32 am on Saturday.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the Information and Public Relations officer for NEMA confirmed 15 people were also rescued from the building which housed a restaurant.

According to Farinloye, the cause of the building collapse is yet to be ascertained as efforts are still ongoing to ensure that all victims are rescued from the rubble.

He also confirmed that one of the people rescued from the debris of the collapse was a male storekeeper.
