Festus Keyamo, the Minister for Aviation has said that it would be tragic for President Bola Tinubu to lose the election in 2027.
The Minister said losing the 2027 presidential election means that all the reforms initiated and implemented by the president would be stalled.
He said Tinubu’s second tenure is crucial for Nigerians as it would lead to the completion of the reforms of the current administration.
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Nigeria on Monday, the Minister called on all members of the ruling party to get involved in the electioneering process for the 2027 general election.
“Every single APC member in Nigeria today should be concentrating on the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu irrespective of whether it affects your personal interest or not because he does need a second term to fully finish up all these reforms.
“It will be tragic for any government to come in 2027 and stop all these reforms,” Keyamo said.
Citing examples, the minister said Nigeria has suffered from several policy abortions due to lack of continuity.
He added, “his is what has happened in the past when you had all the inchoate policies that were implemented.”
