2027: MC Oluomo Clarifies Claims of Alliance With Peter Obi

The national president of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Musiliu Akinsanya, also known as MC Oluomo, has denied allegations of meeting with the former presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Naija News reports that in a statement released on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, MC Oluomo clarified that a viral photo of him with the former Governor of Anambra State was photoshopped.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain also stated that there is no evidence of meeting with Peter Obi or receiving a congratulatory message from him.

Oluomo, who disclosed he was currently out of his country, reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu.

He said, “I have taken notice of a manipulated image and false news report circulating on social media, particularly in the northern part of Nigeria.

“I categorically state that this report is entirely false and has no basis. Multiple fact-checking platforms and blogs have already debunked this claim, revealing that the image had been photoshopped. There is no evidence of any meeting or congratulatory message from Peter Obi to me.

“I am currently abroad, and any claims suggesting otherwise are baseless. I urge the public to disregard this false news and rely on credible sources of information. I reaffirm my support for HE Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and his Hope Agenda.”
