No fewer than 28 vessels carrying petroleum products and other assorted commodities are scheduled to arrive at the Apapa, Tin-Can Island and Lekki Deep Sea Ports in Lagos between February 10 and February 19.
This was disclosed by the Nigerian Ports Authority, NPA, in its latest Shipping Position report released on Tuesday in Lagos.
According to the authority, 16 of the incoming vessels are container ships conveying various categories of goods, while the remaining 12 are laden with crude oil, premium motor spirit (petrol), diesel, bulk gypsum, bulk wheat, blended stock, raw crude oil, bulk gas and other general cargoes.
The report indicated that 10 ships and tankers have already arrived at the ports and are awaiting berthing. These vessels are loaded with crude oil, bulk urea, diesel, condensate, petrol, containers and general cargo.
Meanwhile, the NPA noted that 15 vessels are currently offloading their consignments across the three ports.
The cargoes being discharged include general goods, bulk gypsum, containers, bulk fertiliser, bulk sugar, diesel and crude oil.
