‘3 of Them Together Don’t equal one Osimhen’ – Ex-Turkish referee criticises Fenerbahçe’s attacking trio
Former Süper Lig referee and pundit Erman Toroğlu has delivered a scathing critique of Fenerbahçe’s attacking lineup.
He claimed that the trio of Youssef En-Nesyri, Kerem Aktürkoğlu, and Jhon Durán are no match for Galatasaray’s Nigerian star, Victor Osimhen.
Toroğlu made his blunt assessment following Fenerbahçe’s 1-1 draw away at Başakşehir, a result that saw them lose ground in the title race.
Osimhen has been Galatasaray’s best player since joining the club and recently played a huge role by scoring the winning goal against Samsunspor.
Toroğlu compares Fenerbahçe’s attack to Osimhen
The 77-year-old football expert argued that the combined efforts of Fenerbahçe’s forwards pale in comparison to the impact of Osimhen.
“En-Nesyri, Kerem, and Jhon Durán… the three of them together don’t equal one Osimhen!” Toroğlu declared on Ekol TV.
The draw, in which Milan Skriniar’s 64th-minute opener for Fenerbahçe was cancelled out by Bertuğ Yıldırım, allowed league leaders Galatasaray to extend their advantage at the top of the table to three points.
Toroğlu’s comments were made just a day after Osimhen produced a match-winning performance for Galatasaray.
The striker scored twice in a dramatic 3-2 victory over Samsunspor, sealing the win with a spectacular 92nd-minute bicycle kick that is already being hailed as a Goal of the Season contender.
Despite some minor injury issues, Osimhen has been in prolific form, netting five goals in 10 league matches and an impressive six goals in three Champions League games.
Fenerbahçe’s attackers have been less productive, with Aktürkoğlu scoring once in the league, Durán twice, and En-Nesyri seven times.
