Nigerian Air Force under Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI ‘OPHK’ successfully airstrikes, shatter Boko Haram terrorist base in Sambisa

The Nigerian Air Force (NAF), operating under the Air Component of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), has successfully carried out two major air interdiction missions.

The operations targeted terrorist enclaves in the Sambisa general area and the Southern Tumbuns of Borno State.

The first mission, conducted at approximately 5:30 a.m on Tuesday, struck Kollaram — a notorious insurgent stronghold.

Acting on credible intelligence and real-time surveillance footage, NAF aircraft engaged structures suspected to house high-value terrorist commanders.

Several buildings, including those outfitted with solar panels and used as operational hubs, were destroyed. Multiple terrorists were neutralized, and critical infrastructure was rendered inoperable.

Later that same day, at about 3:55 p.m., a second strike was launched on Arra, deep within Sambisa. Surveillance and reconnaissance missions had earlier pinpointed clusters of terrorist elements in the area.

Upon confirmation of their presence, precision-guided munitions were deployed, leading to the effective elimination of the threat and significant degradation of the group’s operational capabilities.

Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, Director of Public Relations and Information at the NAF Headquarters, reaffirmed the Force’s commitment to national security.

“The Nigerian Air Force remains resolute in ensuring that no location within our borders offers refuge to terrorists,” he stated.
