“My Brother and Wike Trying to Destroy PDP” – Isaac Fayose [VIDEO]

Isaac Fayose has accused his elder brother, former Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose, and the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, of working to destroy the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Fayose made this statement during an interview on Mic On Podcast with journalist Seun Okinbaloye.

He revealed that his relationship with his brother has deteriorated so much that they no longer speak and have even blocked each other.

He said, “My brother and Wike are trying to destroy PDP, a party that elevated them. How then do they want others to rise through the party? I see that as evil, and that’s why I chose not to be friends with my brother, Ayodele Fayose, again.”

Prior to the 2023 presidential election, Wike led a team of PDP governors against the party. The group, known as the G5 Governors, included Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, Samuel Ortom of Benue State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State, and Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State.

They opposed the candidacy of Atiku Abubakar, arguing that the party leadership was unfairly dominated by the North and demanding the resignation of the then-party chairman, Iyorchia Ayu. When their demands were not met, they refused to support Atiku in the election, a move that weakened the PDP’s chances and contributed to its loss.

Since the election, the PDP crisis has only worsened. Wike accepted a ministerial position in President Bola Tinubu’s APC-led government, a move many saw as a betrayal of the PDP. His close ties with the ruling party have fueled speculation that he is working for the APC.

Meanwhile, Ayodele Fayose has also been accused of working against the party’s interests. He had previously voiced support for Tinubu’s presidency.
