Each beneficiary received N50,000 to help them overcome challenges and contribute to the national economy.
Represented by Hajiya Nana Shettima, wife of the Vice President, Senator Tinubu presented the funds at the Government House in Yola, Adamawa State.
Urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the empowerment
Hajiya Lami Fintiri, wife of the Adamawa State Governor, received the model cheque for onward distribution to the beneficiaries.
At the ceremony, Hajiya Lami Fintiri and Hajiya Nana Shettima symbolically presented N50,000 to 20 beneficiaries. Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by his Chief of Staff, Dr. Edgar Amos, commended the First Lady’s initiative, noting that it aligns with his administration’s support for women’s empowerment.
Hajiya Zainab Nasare Idris, coordinator of Renewed Hope Initiative and wife of Kebbi State Governor, emphasized the importance of assisting women in petty trading due to the current economic situation.
She praised the First Lady for her support and urged the beneficiaries to make the most of the empowerment.
This initiative is part of Senator Oluremi Tinubu’s efforts to support women’s economic empowerment and contribute to the national economy.
