Ex-IGP Adamu Declares Nasarawa Gubernatorial Ambition

Former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has officially announced that he will run for governor of Nasarawa State in the 2027 election.

Adamu made the announcement in Lafia, the state capital, during a meeting with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) State Working Committee. He said he decided to run because the people of Nasarawa have called on him to lead.

The APC is the ruling party in the state.

“I am answering the call of my people who believe I can serve and move Nasarawa forward,” Adamu said.

He promised to lead a government that includes everyone and focuses on development if he is elected.

“My administration, by the grace of God, will be inclusive, transparent, and focused on delivering tangible development across all sectors,” he added.
