INEC unveils 6 digital tools to strengthen Nigeria’s election [FULL LIST]

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has unveiled six new digital tools that could help improve and strengthen elections across the country.

The electoral commission showcased these tools at a one-day retreat organised in Lagos State on Wednesday, April 30.

According to INEC, the new digital applications have been designed to revolutionise election process and management in Nigeria.

Showcasing the workings of these tools, the chairman of the commission, Mahmood Yakubu highlighted the importance of technology in conducting, monitoring and processing election results in Nigeria.

He said, “These mobile applications represent our commitment to leveraging technology for transparent and efficient elections. They will transform everything from voter registration to results collation.”

A list of the digital tools exhibited by INEC at the retreat include

1. CROMS – Collation and Returning Officers Management System

2. ERMS – Election Results Management System

3. VETS – Virtual Election Training System

4. PFRAS – Political Party Financial Reporting System

5. EMSC Dashboard – Election Monitoring and Support Center

6. EFLOC – Electoral Facility Locator
