He made this known in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital on Thursday, September 12 as he advised the government of the state to turn it into a dairy centre by tapping into its potential for livestock and dairy production.
He further advised Nigerians to invest in livestock farming.
Reacting to the comments by former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Governor Seyi Makinde said his administration remained committed to providing an enabling environment for businesses to thrive.
Represented by his deputy, Mr Bayo Lawal, the governor assured investors that his government would continue providing security and facilities while implementing policies supporting their businesses.
Operation Feed the Nation was a national agricultural extension and mobilization program instituted by the military government of Nigeria in 1976 as a measure to achieve self sufficiency in food crop production and inspire a new generation to return to farming.
