Introverts are the opposite of extroverts. Extroverts are often described as the life of a party; they seek out interaction and Conversations. They don’t want to miss a social gathering, and they thrive in the frenzy of a busy environment.

Psychologist Carl Jung was the first to describe these two personality extremes back in the 1960s. He wrote that Introverts and extroverts could be separated based on how they gain energy. (The term “extroverts” is now used more). According to his basic definition, introverts prefer minimally stimulating environments; they need time alone to recharge. Extroverts refuel by being with others.

However, we know that these personality traits are not all or nothing. Introverts can have elements of extroversion in their personalities. Extroverts may like acting on the stage or throwing Parties. Introverts may like a little more solitude from time to time and prefer to work alone when they really need to focus.
Signs You’re an Introvert

Here are some common signs that are associated with Introversion.
1. You Prefer Working Alone

If a group of projects feels Overwhelming or loathsome, you may be an Introvert. Introverts often work best when they’re alone. They prefer to retreat and focus on the tasks at hand rather than navigate the social aspects of working in a group setting.
2. You Prefer Time to Yourself

Whether you’re simply spending time resting or engaging in activities, solitude is a welcome relief. Introverts often enjoy reading, gardening, crafting, writing, gaming, watching movies, or doing other activities that are performed alone.

3. Easily Depressed
One study shows that introverts are likely to be diagnosed with depression. This could be another study suggest, because introverts don’t feel happy as often as extroverts. They prefer high-quality friendships and emotional regulation. It may be difficult to achieve this high level of satisfaction constantly.

4. You Have Close Circles of Friends and like it that way
Don’t mistake an introvert’s small circles of Friends as a sign that they can’t make friends or don’t like to socialize. They enjoy talking with people and getting to know others. They also prefer the solitude of small friends, and a high-quality relationship is key to the happiness of introverts, according to one study.

5. You are Introspective and Curious
You may find yourself daydreaming or working things out in your mind long before you put a plan of action in place or lift a single finger to change anything.

Introverts have a very active inner thought process, leading them to self-reflection and research. Introverts are dedicated to pursuing their interest and feeling prepared and well-read.
6. You Prefer Writing Over Talking

You’re more comfortable writing out your thoughts than speaking, especially when unprepared. You think through your response because your communication style is focused and considerate. You can carry on consideration, but if decisions are necessary, you may want more time to consider and weigh your options so you feel confident in the choice.
7. You Find small talk Incredibly Cumbersome

Introverts are notoriously small talk-phobic, as they find idle chatter to be a source of anxiety or at least annoyance.
8. You’re Easily Distracted

Introverts are more easily distracted than extroverts and prefer a relatively unstimulating environment. Giving a Talk to 100 People is less stressful than having to Mingle with those people afterwards.

Introverts are excellent leaders and public Speakers-and although they’re stereotyped as being the shrinking violet, they don’t necessarily shy away from the spotlight. Performers like Lady Gaga, Christian Aguilera, and Emma Watson are all introverts, and an estimated 40 per cent of C.E.O.s have introverted personalities.
9. You’re in a Relationship with an Extrovert

Opposite indeed attracts, and introvert frequently gravitates towards outgoing extrovert who encourages them to have fun and not take themselves too seriously.
