Sevilla to offload Ejuke

La Liga outfit Sevilla are set to part ways with Nigerian forward Chidera Ejuke, as part of a summer squad overhaul ahead of the 2025/26 season, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The 27-year-old winger, who arrived at the Andalusian club on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Russian outfit CSKA Moscow last summer, made 25 appearances in the Spanish top-flight, scoring two goals and registering only one assist.

The Super Eagles wideman endured a spell on the sidelines in the just-concluded campaign due to a hamstring injury and fitness problems, which subsequently made him struggle to consistently impact the team positively.

Seven-time UEFA Europa League champions Sevilla are currently undergoing massive changes ahead of the upcoming season, having appointed Matias Almeyda as the team’s new manager while confirming Antonio Cordon as the club’s new sporting director.

The Andalusians are currently in a tight financial situation and therefore need to get players out the door to fund new signings and balance the books.

Ejuke seems expendable and the La Liga side will reportedly listen to offers for the ex-Royal Antwerp of Belgium ace, who currently commands a transfer fee of €4m according to Transfermarkt.

His replacement could come in the person of Bryan Gil, who came up through the club’s junior ranks before making his senior debut. The 24-year-old winger ended the 2024/2025 campaign on loan from English Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur.
