Breaking : Governor Sim Fubara orders shutdown of NNPC operations in Rivers State, issues bold directives
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reportedly ordered the immediate shutdown of all NNPC operations in the state.
In a dramatic escalation of tensions, he allegedly directed his loyalists to destroy pipelines transporting crude oil to Lagos and Abuja.
Additionally, Governor Fubara has called for the demolition of the Rivers State Liaison House in Abuja, citing wasteful spending on a facility that remains largely unused. In a bold political move, he has also banned former Governor Nyesom Wike from entering Rivers State until the end of his tenure.
These drastic actions come in response to alleged attempts by Wike-backed political operatives to impeach Governor Fubara. Reports indicate that pro-Wike forces had mobilized to remove the governor, escalating an already intense power struggle between the two political figures.
