After his recent meeting with the former president, Muhammadu Buhari, the immediate past governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai visited Rauf Aregbesola, a former minister of interior.
In a photo post shared on X, Muyiwa Adekeye, a media adviser to El-Rufai said the former governor met with Aregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare in Lagos on Sunday.
He wrote, “Malam Nasir @elrufai was in Lagos today to visit Ogbeni @raufaregbesola and Pastor Tunde Bakare.”
El-Rufai’s visit to Aregbesola and Bakare comes days after he visited Bubari at his residence in Kaduna.
It was gathered that the former governor during the visit informed Buhari of his political plans ahead of the 2027 general elections.
There were also reports that the former Kaduna governor has perfected his plans to defect from the All Progressives Congress to the Social Democratic Party.
These reports stems from the fact that some of his key allies have already joined the SDP.
