2026 WCQ Playoffs: Super Eagles to get $50,000 per goal against Congo

The Super Eagles will be rewarded with $50,000 for every goal scored in tonight’s 2026 FIFA World Cup playoffs final with Democratic Republic of Congo.

The three-time African champions earned $120,000 for the 4-1 victory over the Panthers of Gabon last Thursday.

Eric Chelle’s men got $30,000 for each scored against their fellow West Africans.

The gesture was initiated by the National Sports Commission, NSC, and unnamed corporate bodies.

It is to boost the morale of the players as they seek a place in the 2026 World Cup finals.

The winner of the clash between the Super Eagles and Leopards will earn a place in the Intercontinental playoffs slated for Mexico in March 2025.
