Kwara Shooting Saga: I Didn’t Know They Were Kidnappers, I Saw 4 Of Them Enter The Church,They Were Shooting—Rotimi
Pastor Rotimi has spoken about the recent attack on his church, the Christ Apostolic Church (CAC), Oke-Isegun, in Eruku, Kwara State
In a video shared by News Central TV, Rotimi stated that the attack on his church happened while he was leading an evening service. He said the service had just begun when he heard a loud sound. He stated that he first thought it was a transformer explosion and did not realise it was gunfire.
Pastor Rotimi said he only understood what was happening when four armed men entered the church and began shooting. He said his first thought was to protect the worshippers, so he quickly led them to a room and locked the door.
Pastor Rotimi said the gunmen still forced their way into the room and kidnapped several worshippers, including his wife
In Pastor Rotimi’s words: “I didn’t know they are kidnappers. I just saw four of them enter the church, they were shooting guns so I did not even know where to run to. I just tried to protect my members first so I locked the door when I saw them”
