Naija News reports that the arrest came after weeks of public disagreement between the two, during which they accused each other of different issues on social media.

A video that surfaced online showed the singer struggling as officers tried to take him into custody.

In the clip, Portable was seen shouting and pulling away while people around him attempted to calm him down.

Recall that last week, the controversial singer escaped arrest after a clash with Ashabi Simple, who is the mother of one of his children.

Naija News reports that the incident reportedly took place on Thursday, January 1, 2026, during Ashabi’s visit to the singer’s bar in Ogun State.

A video shared online captured the tense moment between the pair.

Ashabi, who has often been described publicly as one of Portable’s baby mamas, was seen expressing anger over the label and insisting that she should also be seen as a wife.

Portable, however, maintained that he only regards his legally married wife, Bewaji, as his spouse, while every other woman in his life remains a baby mama.

This exchange led to a heated altercation, during which Portable was accused of pushing and assaulting her.
