AFCON 2025: Morocco coach, Regragui reveals only advantage they have over Super Eagles

Morocco head coach, Walid Regragui, has dismissed talk that referees are favouring his side at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.

Regragui also claimed they are the team to beat at the tournament and only have home advantage on their side.

The Atlas Lions are riding on the back of an unbeaten record, which dates back to a loss to South Africa at the last AFCON.

Morocco are now preparing to face the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the semi-final on Wednesday night.

“As the team to beat, people will try to find all sorts of reasons to say Morocco has an advantage,” Regragui told reporters on Monday.

“The only advantage that Morocco has, is playing in front of 65,000 spectators. The rest is on the field, we speak on the field.”
