‘Poor decision’ — Rosenior blames Chelsea star for 2-2 draw against Leeds

Following Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Leeds United at Stamford Bridge, head coach Liam Rosenior laid the blame at the doorstep of midfielder Moises Caicedo.

Joao Pedro continued his brilliant goalscoring form, giving the Blues the lead in the 24th minute before Cole Palmer doubled the advantage from the spot in the 58th minute.

Lukas Nmecha reduced the deficit from the penalty spot in the 67th minute after Caicedo fouled Jayden Bogle in the box, before Noah Okafor pounced on a loose ball to draw Leeds level six minutes later.

The draw brought an end to an impressive winning run for Rosenior since replacing Enzo Maresca in January.

Speaking in his post-match reaction, the 41-year-old manager criticised the Ecuadorian midfielder for conceding a penalty.

“Moi [Caicedo] is a magnificent player and has been top since I came in, but we made a poor decision there. We gave away a penalty,” Rosenior told reporters.

“The penalty goes in, they hit a few long balls and pick up some second balls. The lad handballed it and it affected my players.”
