The State Department stated that “these individuals command and direct various elements of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), which plans, organizes and executes terrorism around the world.” The reward is part of the “Rewards for Justice” program, with tipsters encouraged to send information via encrypted channels and potentially qualify for relocation. Mojtaba Khamenei assumed leadership after his father Ali Khamenei was killed in a US-Israeli bombing on February 28, which marked the start of the current conflict.
