Bosun Tijani Pledges AI Cameras to Tackle Jos Insecurity

Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has pledged to deploy artificial intelligence-enabled security infrastructure across Plateau State, beginning with Jos metropolis. Speaking during an engagement with the state government, Tijani recalled being a student in Jos during the 2001 crisis, when his family lost properties and friends. He said similar technology-driven security solutions are already operational in Lagos and Enugu. The initiative will focus on strengthening core digital infrastructure alongside the AI camera network.
