Brigade Commander Feared Killed as Boko Haram Attacks Borno Military Base

A Brigade Commander of the Joint Task Force in Benisheikh, Borno State, Brig. Gen O. O. Braimah has reportedly been killed by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP terrorists during a midnight attack.

The insurgents launched coordinated attacks on Benisheikh town and Pulka Community in Gwoza LGA, setting trucks ablaze and destroying commercial vehicles. Civilians, a member of the Civilian JTF, security operatives, and scores of terrorists were also killed. The terrorists overran a military base and destroyed several military vehicles.
