The spokesperson for the APC, Felix Morka urged the former governor to quit sulking and get a grip of himself.
Morka said that since exiting the party, El-Rufai has continued to seek ways to justify joining the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
In a statement issued on Monday, Morka described the former governor as an individual who stands diminished as the epitome of a self-interested politician.
He said El-Rufai has remained blinded by ego, driven by untamed emotion, and brimming with a vengeful desire to “collapse the system.”
He added that El-Rufai’s interview with the BBC Hausa Service shows a man who is traumatised by his failure to land a ministerial position.
“Nursing a bruised ego, he now lashes out at the platform he rode to political prominence,” Morka noted.
He further stated that contrary to the ex-Kaduna governor’s excuses for leaving the party, the APC is committed to its founding values and ideologies
