Maverick entertainer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has said that the August nationwide protest was a dress rehearsal for the main revolution.
Charly Boy who is also an activist stated that the incoming revolution may become destructive and bloody if the government fails to address the demands of the youths.
He hinted that the time of the revolution would be unknown and that it would be unexpected.
Taking to his X page to share his thoughts, Charly Boy wrote, “It will take a revolution to find a solution to bad leadership. I see the August 1st to 10th as a dress rehearsal for the main event.
The main event will be unannounced.
It will be madder than we ever imagined.
The REVOLUTION will not be televised.
Destruction and blood will line in its wake.
Hopefully, it will be the outcome that will bring the solution.”.
Nigerians have been on the streets protesting the end to bad governance, economic hardship, insecurity, and the high cost of living. The nationwide protest began on August 1 and will end on August 10, 2024.
According to the organisers of the protests, there will be a one-million-man protest across the country to wrap up the ten-day nationwide protest on Saturday, August 10, 2024.
