Some politicians including the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike were in Oyo State to commiserate with the governor of the state, Seyi Makinde over the passing of his elder brother, Sunday.
Wike was received at the Ikolaba private residence of the governor on Wednesday, February 5, alongside, the former governors of Abia and Benue State, Okezie Ikpeazu and Samuel Ortom respectively.
Others dignitaries who visited the governor alongside Wike include Senators Sandy Onor, Philip Aduda, Olaka Nwogu, Mao Ohuabunwa, and Rt. Hon Chibudom Nwuche among others.
Sunday Makinde died on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the age of 65, as announced by his family.
The late Makindeโs burial is slated to take place on Friday, February 7, with events beginning on Thursday with a Service of Songs.
The family of the deceased in a statement said there would be a reception after his interment and a thanksgiving service at the St Peterโs Cathedral, Aremo, Ibadan, on Sunday.
