Two of the alleged killers managed to escape a few days ago when officers took them out to apprehend the receiver of stolen goods linked to the crime.

Their escape has fueled public suspicion of police complicity in the incident.

Speaker Somtochukwu Udeze described the development as unacceptable, adding that it has tarnished the credibility of the Police.

The Assembly insisted that the re-arrest of the fugitives is necessary to restore public confidence and uphold justice.
