Ezekwesili emphasized that the protest is a legitimate means for Nigerians to voice their dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs.
She took to X to express her support for the protest organizers, underscoring the importance of citizens exercising their right to speak out.
She stated: “This unrelenting media propaganda all over the country by the @NigeriaGov and their supporters is just because their badly governed and suffering Citizens finally got distressed and discomfited enough to collectively raise their Voice and ask them to please #EndBadGovernance?
“Your Citizens are asking for Good Governance and instead of seeing this as an Opportunity, you are escalating Fear in the Land? Truly sad to see.
“At least one good thing from this massive propaganda machinery that has been unleashed is the BIG evidence that: *The Power of the People* is indeed greater than the *The People in Power*.
“We need no further proof.
“The #EndBadGovernanceProtest is a valid exercise of the right of the People to peacefully say to their Public “Leaders”, “Enough is Enough!”.
“I laud and stand with the Nigerian Citizens for the resilience shown in a season of severest economic hardship.
“May our country experience better days just because the People have discovered their Power to set their Public Leaders aright.”
Ezekwesili further remarked in another post: “As we can all already see, the only group that will turn the #EndBadGovernaceProtest into the “bloody affair” that @NigeriaGov propagandists are predicting and prophesying is the Government and its supporters.
“The People are simply saying ‘We are Hungry and therefore Angry’. We want you to know this and ACT correctly to solve our problems. Simple.
“Again, I ask the Governments @NigeriaGov, State Governments and Governors, the Lawmakers @nassnigeria and State Assemblies to make this nationwide expression of dissatisfaction and disapproval of Citizens their opportunity for Deep Introspection.
“Consider your ways. Produce convincing evidence-backed Responses and Plans of Action to Citizens’ Demands.
“@NGRPresident has a Duty to ensure full protection of Citizens who wish to exercise their constitutional right to protest #BadGovernance across the country.
“@PoliceNG must do EVERYTHING right by the People.
“We must remind the @HQNigerianArmy
that they cannot in any guise abuse the rights of Citizens.
“Nigerians Citizens will win. Ultimately.”
