Be committed or resign – FRSC tells Special Marshalls in Abia

Worried by the alarming rate of apathy and laxity among some Special Marshalls in Abia State, the Federal Road Safety Corps has charged the officers to renew their commitment to proactive service.

Addressing the state and units officials of the Special Marshalls at the Command Headquarters Umuahia, Abia Sector Commander, Mrs Ngozi Ezeoma advised Special Marshalls who failed to shun their apathetic attitudes to resign honorably, as the Corps is seeking to inject new vigor into its volunteer arm.

Ezeoma, however, commended the efforts and commitment of dedicated Special Marshalls, urging them not to be discouraged by the apathy exhibited by some members.

The sector commander also charged the state and units executives to step up efforts in ensuring that members are alive to their volunteer duties of contributing to road safety in Nigeria.

Responding on behalf of others, the State Assistant Coordinator, Kingsley Nwachi assured the Abia FRSC sector commander that his members would redouble their efforts in realizing the set goals of the Corps in establishing the Special Marshall arm.
