BREAKING: APC Woman Leader, Over 100 Supporters Decamp to NNPP in Kano – Full Details Revealed

A major political shift has hit Kano State, as an APC woman leader, Hajiya Sabuwa Tarai and more than 100 of her supporters have defected to the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP).

The group moved from the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Tarai, Kibiya Local Government Area, and pledged full support to Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration.

The defectors were received by the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Alhaji Adamu A. Kibiya.

He welcomed the group into the NNPP fold and urged them to contribute to strengthening the party in the state.

The move was led by the APC woman leader, Hajiya Sabuwa Tarai, who praised the governor’s efforts in improving communities across Kano.

According to her, the decision was inspired by the visible impact of the government’s development programmes.

“We are impressed by the numerous projects executed by Gov. Yusuf at the local government and state level,” Tarai stated, noting that her team believes the NNPP government has delivered real progress on the ground.

The commissioner assured the new members of equal treatment and encouraged them to work closely with old party members to advance NNPP’s goals in the region.

Nevertheless, the development is seen as another boost for Governor Yusuf, who has been consolidating support ahead of future political activities in the state.
