A hearing was held on Friday for the 13-year-old Florida boy who was charged as an adult for allegedly killing his mother earlier this month.
Derek Rosa reportedly stabbed Irina Garcia, 39, on October 12. Garcia was found dead next to the crib where her 14-day-old daughter was sleeping after Rosa called 911 and admitted to the slaying, according to WPLG.
Garcia was reportedly stabbed multiple times in the neck. Rosa allegedly told a 911 dispatcher that he sent pictures of his dead mother to someone he met online. He went on to tell the dispatcher that there was blood all over the floor.
“I took pictures and I told my friend about it,” he allegedly said in the 911 call. “Was that bad?”
