BREAKING NEWS: Assassins rain bullets on official vehicle as Commissioner Chukwumerije escapes death in Abia
Chaka, son of late political sage, Senator Uche Chukwumerije, has reportedly escaped assassination attempt on his life inside his official vehicle along Okigwe-Umuahia expressway in Abia state.
Chaka Chukwumerije is the incumbent Commissioner for Lands and Housing and a key official in Governor Alex Otti’s government in Abia state.

Chaka Chukwumerije, narrowly escaped death two nights ago when unknown gunmen opened fire on his vehicle along the Okigwe–Umuahia road.
Dike, Chaka’s brother, who disclosed the daring attack aimed at eliminating him said the incident happened he was reportedly returning to Umuahia.
Dike said a trailing vehicle suddenly opened fire on the vehicle carrying Chaka.
He said despite the hail of bullets, he and three others in the car miraculously escaped unhurt, although their vehicle was badly riddled with bullet holes.
Dike on behalf of their family expressed gratitude to God for sparing the Commissioner’s life and emphasised that despite the dangers, they remain committed to serving the state with integrity and courage.
The state government was yet to speak on the incident which was said to have happened about two days ago.
