The retired civil servant from the Nigerian Port Authority, speaking in a debate between pro-Tinubu and anti-Tinubu factions, bemoaned Nigerians who seek rewards without enduring struggles.

Expressing his confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s leadership abilities, Mr. Rahmon stated that there is no one better suited to lead Nigeria.

In his argument, Mr. Rahmon revealed that he has never had three square meals since birth, emphasizing that only those born into wealthy families can guarantee such luxury.

He said, “The President Bola Ahmed Tinubu that I know, from Lagos State, when he was a senator, he never relented, he keeps fighting for democracy in Nigeria, in Africa, and the world. He had collapsed the system and bring every governance area that is moribund, he will bring them to life. This is the man that I’ll root for and that is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

I have been living in this country since I was born in 1961. I have never secured three square meals since I was born and nobody until you became that rich, if I’m not a Dangote child that you can say that here square meal is secured.”

As old as I am, I have searched Nigeria, for the best person to govern this nation. I’ve never seen anyone beyond Bola Tinubu.

There is no hardship in Nigeria. We are going through difficulties. Yes, no pain, no gains. How can you have gains when you don’t want to go through pains?”

His comments were met with disagreement from many Nigerians who questioned his perspective. Some argued that the elders are the country’s greatest enemy, while others found fault with Mr. Rahmon’s acceptance of not having three square meals a day.

Below are some reactions
