This comes after a documentary titled “Daniel vs Ekweremadu” revealed that the London Metropolitan Police is investigating a case linked to the former Nigerian Deputy Senate President.
Recall that Ekweremadu was sentenced to 10 years in prison for human trafficking in 2023 in the UK.
Police spokesperson Alexandra Meek revealed that a woman was arrested in November 2022 on suspicion of conspiracy to exploit for organ harvesting. She has since been released under investigation.
Reports state that due to the ongoing investigation, the police are unable to participate in the documentary.
The recently released documentary sheds light on how the Deputy Senate President ended up a convict and the circumstances surrounding his conviction. It also tells the side of the survivor-victim, known as Daniel, his family’s response, and provides exclusive access to British prosecutors and police.
The documentary is written and produced by Chude Jideonwo, an award-winning filmmaker and TV host.
