Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has appointed Prof. Isaac Zeb-Obipi as the new Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University, Nkpolu-Oroworukwo, Port Harcourt.
The announcement was made in an official government statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo, in Port Harcourt on Thursday. According to the statement, the appointment takes effect immediately.
Prof. Zeb-Obipi takes over from **Prof. Nlerum Okogbule, who was appointed by former Governor Nyesom Wike on March 5, 2020. Before his new role, Zeb-Obipi was a Professor of Organisational Behaviour and Human Resource Management and also served as the Director of the Information and Communication Technology Centre at Rivers State University.
