BREAKING NEWS: FULL DETAILS EMERGED! After 20 Years in Coma Following 2005 Car Accident in London, Saudi Arabia’s ‘Sleeping Prince’ Marks 36th Birthday

Prince Al-Waleed bin Khaled bin Talal, often referred to as Saudi Arabia’s “Sleeping Prince,” has marked his 36th birthday while still in a coma—almost 20 years after a devastating car crash in London altered the course of his life.

The prince suffered a traumatic brain injury in the 2005 accident and has remained unconscious ever since. For the past two decades, he has been under continuous medical care at King Abdulaziz Medical City in Riyadh, where he relies on advanced medical equipment to stay alive.

Though he has shown brief signs of responsiveness—such as slight physical movements—doctors have not observed any significant progress toward full consciousness. Nonetheless, his family has held firmly to hope, grounded in their faith and emotional bond with their son.

His father, Prince Khaled bin Talal, and mother, Princess Reema bint Talal, have consistently rejected the idea of ending life support, expressing deep belief that their son’s soul remains present and that recovery is still possible—regardless of the medical prognosis.

Prince Al-Waleed is a descendant of the kingdom’s founding lineage, being the great-grandson of King Abdulaziz Al Saud. While the royal family has not issued a public statement commemorating his birthday, social media platforms have been filled with messages of support, prayers, and expressions of solidarity from well-wishers around the world.
