The ‘Ojuelegba’ crooner expressed his love for the sport and mentioned that if he hadn’t succeeded in the music industry, he would have pursued a career in football.
He acknowledged the dedication needed to excel in the sport, explaining that his impatience and dislike for early morning training sessions pushed him towards music.
Wizkid reminisced about his time playing on his school’s football team, stating that he was a good player.
“If I wasn’t doing music, I would be playing football, I play football real good, I used to be on my school team,” he said.
Wizkid also shared his choice to not travel with bodyguards, preferring to rely on his close-knit management team, whom he considers family.
