The fire disaster which occured early hours of Thursday was said to have destroyed property worth millions of naira, leaving shop owners stranded.
According to eye witness, the fire outbreak started in the early hours of Thursday due to power surge.
The Special Adviser who accompanied Governor Ododo to the scene of the infano for an on the sport assessment, noted that the governor’s visit has boosted the morale of the shop owners, knowing that they have a Governor who cares about their welfare and security.
Dr. Sandra expressed her sincere appreciation to the Governor of Kogi State, for his prompt and compassionate response to the tragedy and his assurance of support for those affected by the disaster
“The Governor’s swift visit to the scene of the inferno provided the much-needed comfort and assurance to the affected individuals in their moments of trial.
“The quick and decisive action of Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo, whose immediate visit to the GSM Village in the wake of the fire brought hope to the victims is commendable. His presence and words of encouragement has demonstrated his deep commitment to the welfare of every Kogi citizen.
She also thanked the governor for prioritizing the needs of the affected traders during this challenging time,” she stressed
According to her Governor Ododo is proactive in addressing emergencies in the state, adding that his administration’s dedication to safeguarding the lives and property of Kogi State citizens is not in doubt.
