Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappe’s social media was hacked with posts about ‘MBAPPE’ token hitting 90,000 sales along with a Manchester United transfer tease and a comment on the Cristiano Ronaldo-Lionel Messi rivalry.

Mbappe’s Twitter /X account was hacked overnight released the token ‘MBAPPE’ along with several posts about Manchester United and Ronaldo ’s long-standing rivalry with Lionel Messi. The tweets have since been deleted.

Mbappe fired a bunch of Manchester United-centric tweets. First he posted “Manchester is Red” before talking about infamous United social media account @UTDTrey, insisting he had “the best account on ft”.

There was also a tweet in favour of Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi, before insulting the eight-time Ballon d’Or winner. Mbappe posted: “Cristiano Ronaldo is the greatest football player of all time. The midget [Lionel Messi] is NOT my goat.”

The release of ‘MBAPPE’ token appeared to dominate social media, and the market value of ‘MBAPPE’ tokens surged to tens of millions in a few minutes before swiftly plummeting and returning to zero. Remarkably, one user claimed to have bought 2 SOL (about £216) and sold it at a high point for a profit of about 1,398 SOL (approximately $151,500).

Mbappe’s account made some very controversial tweets on several Premier League teams, including Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur. However, all the anonymous posts were deleted quickly afterward.

Several users on social media hit out at Mbappe. User KM (@Kylian) posted: “Where the —- is his PR team, this is unacceptable.”

“Mbappe is a United fan I knew it all along,” user @antcatalanotto wrote. Another user Voetbal (@Voetballl_) took the chance to poke fun at Mbappe’s start to life with Los Blancos, adding: “Hacked before he could score a La Liga goal smh.”

On his Madrid debut, Mbappe instantly made an impact as he scored in the 2-0 victory over Atlanta in the UEFA Super Cup. However, the French star has failed to score in La Liga, not scoring in both the 1-1 draw with Mallorca or the recent 3-0 win over Valladolid.

“His last goal was on August 14th. It has only been two weeks since, that is no reason to worry. Neither we are not worried as a club, nor him,” Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti told reporters. “He is very happy here, delighted, sure he wants to score in the next game. So does Vinicius, who has yet to score this season and I don’t see him worried either.”
