The jets were reportedly seized after a Chinese company named Zhongshan filed an application following the revocation of its export processing management contract by the Ogun state government in 2016.
As a result, the court ordered the seizure of the presidential air fleet, which includes a Dassault Falcon 7X at Le Bourget airport in Paris, France, a Boeing 737, and an Airbus 330 at Basel-Mulhouse airport in Switzerland.
According to reports, two of the jets from the Nigerian presidential air fleet were recently put up for sale, while the third, an Airbus 330, was purchased by Nigeria but has not yet been delivered, as noted by Premium Times.
The Nigerian government reportedly paid over $100 million for the Airbus, and the delivered planes are currently undergoing maintenance.
The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, has not yet commented on the situation, although it is reported that the Nigerian presidential air fleet is under his control.
