He claimed the number one spot on the app after the recent revelation by the former governor of Jigawa State, Sule Lamido.

Lamido, a chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during an interview with the Nigerian Tribune said the former president never wanted Bola Tinubu to succeed him as president.

According to him, Buhari’s preferred choice was then Senate President Ahmed Lawan.

“Prior to the All Progressives Party (APC) convention, he (Tinubu) was in Abeokuta, Ogun State, where he boasted that it was his turn to rule Nigeria. And Buhari, very naive, was watching. He never liked Tinubu. There was somebody he wanted. He didn’t even trust his own vice president, Professor (Yemi) Osinbajo; he wanted Ahmed Lawan, but his calculation was absurd,” he said in the interview.

He described President Bola Tinubu as a very daring and adept politician who manipulated the country’s political system and became president despite stiff opposition.

Muhammadu Buhari served as Nigeria’s president under the All Progressives Congress (APC) from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023. His tenure was rocked by several challenges that affected the economy, security of some parts of the country, police brutality, and inflation.
