Breaking: Tinubu confers post humous national honours on Yar’Adua, Kudirat Abiola, others, Soyinka bags GCON

Against the backdrop of insinuations in political circles that President Bola Ahmd Tinubu was working towards one party state in the country, the President declared at the joint sitting of the National Assembly on Thursday that such a plan was not in the offing.

He said though it is in order for him to witness the opposition parties in disarray but he would never work for one party state in the country.

The President in his speech which lasted for 45 minutes, conferred post humous national honours on many eminent Nigerians who played critical roles in the entrenchment of democratic rule in Nigeria.

He specifically conferred the honour of Commander of Federal Republic , CFR on late Alhaja Kudirat Abiola, Grand Commander of the Federal Republic (GCFR) on late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua, Grand Commander of the Order of Niger (GCON) on Processor Wole Soyinka etc.
