Christian Genocide: Faith is under fire in Nigeria – US Congresswoman
US Congresswoman representing South Carolina’s 1st congressional district, Nancy Mace, has added her voice to the calls against ‘Christian Genocide’ in Nigeria.
MyNigeria reported that US TV show host Bill Maher had raised the alarm that Christians were getting killed in Nigeria, placing the death toll at 100,000 since 2009.
Maher said, “They are systematically killing the Christians in Nigeria. They’ve killed over 100,000 since 2009… This is so much more of a genocide attempt than what is going on in Gaza. They are literally attempting to wipe out the Christian population.”
Reacting, Rep Mace posted on X that “Bill Maher said what the media refuses to: faith is under fire.
“You don’t have to be a Christian to see evil for what it is. What’s happening to Christians in Nigeria is genocide, and pretending it isn’t happening won’t make it stop.”
Meanwhile, US Senator Ted Cruz has pushed a bill in Congress which will see punishment for Nigerian government officials allowing the killings to happen.
