Angry subscribers have pulled down a section of the fence in an MTN office as seen in a viral VIDEO The video as posted by Daily Trust on its verified X account showed a group of people attempting to forcefully enter the premises of the network provider. Speaking, the police public relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, condemned the vandalism of the MTN office in the FESTAC area of Lagos state on Monday.
In response to a viral video showing the vandalism, Hundeyin stated, “This should not be the way to go!”
Recall some Nigerians had cried out on social media that their SIM cards have been barred from either making calls or receiving calls as the MNOs worked towards barring all unregistered SIM cards ahead of the July 31 deadline given by the National Communications Commission (NCC).
The NCC however, has lifted the ban this afternoon by ordering a reconnection all blocked lines.
