A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Joe Igbokwe, has said the sons of a former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, should maintain a grace silence amid political tensions .
Igbokwe gave the advice says after El-Rufai defected from the APC to the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Following his defection, El-Rufai’s son, Bashir El-Rufai, has been on social media with dangerous rhetorics.
In a recent post, he gave a reason why the people of Southern Kaduna will continue to suffer genocide as experienced under the eight years of his father’s administration as Kaduna governor.
Reacting, Igbokwe said, “I want my good friend , HE El Rufai to stop all these not-too -good statements I see everyday. He is bigger than this . His sons should also maintain a grave silence at least for now. I am not unmindful of the risky efforts Malam made for APC to triumph in 2023. He drilled the deepest well for APC. However this street dance is totally negative and consequently too low. I CALL HIM THE STORMY PETREL!!! Dazzol.”
