Ex-President Obasanjo Hosts Atiku, Jonathan, Saraki, Other Political Leaders [PHOTOS]

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo hosted a high-profile dinner attended by several prominent political figures, including his former vice president, Atiku Abubakar.

The event, which took place on Sunday at The Delborough Hotel in Victoria Island, Lagos, brought together past and present leaders.

Among the dignitaries present at the dinner were former President Goodluck Jonathan, former Senate President Bukola Saraki, former President of Sierra Leone Ernest Koroma, and the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Atiku Abubakar, who was Obasanjo’s deputy between 1999 and 2007, confirmed the meeting in a post on his official X account. He shared photos from the event and wrote, “I joined others at the dinner hosted by my former boss, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, at The Delborough Hotel, Victoria Island, in Lagos.”

This dinner comes just days after Atiku visited Obasanjo at his residence in Ota, Ogun State. That meeting was attended by notable politicians, including Senator Abdul Ahmed Ningi, former Cross River State Governor Liyel Imoke, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, and Obasanjo’s long-time associate Oyewole Fasawe.

Atiku, a veteran politician and serial presidential contender, is widely believed to be preparing for another run in the 2027 election. His recent engagements with political heavyweights have fueled speculation about his plans to build a broad coalition.

Meanwhile, the details of the discussions at the dinner remain undisclosed.
