Born in Enugu in 1973, Okocha is one of Africa’s best footballers, famous for his amazing dribbling, speed, and powerful shots.
Okocha had a brilliant career on the global stage, playing in the Africa Cup of Nations, the Olympics, and the FIFA World Cup before he retired from international football in 2006.
He played 73 times for the Nigerian national team, scoring 14 goals, and played a key role in Nigeria’s successes, including winning the 1994 AFCON and the gold medal at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.
