Federal government announces three-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr

The federal government has declared a three-day public holiday for Eid-ul-Fitr, from March 31 (Sunday) to April 2 (Tuesday).

A notification issued by the Cabinet Division confirmed the holiday schedule, allowing public and private sector employees nationwide to celebrate the festive occasion with their families.

Eid-ul-Fitr marks the culmination of the holy month of Ramadan and is observed with prayers, gatherings, and festivities across the country. The government’s announcement is expected to facilitate travel and ease congestion as people return to their hometowns for the celebrations.

Provincial governments and private organizations may issue their own notifications in line with the federal decision.
