He expressed his thoughts in an open letter to the National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Ambassador Iliya Damagun.
In the letter, Clark explained how the former Governor of Rivers State is allegedly using his closeness to President Bola Tinubu to intimidate the Rivers State governor, Siminalayi Fubara and the party.
Reading the letter at a press briefing at his residence in Asokoro on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, Clark mentioned that he could no longer stand by and allow the Rivers Governor to be intimidated by his predecessor.
According to the leader of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF), he was already a politician before Wike was born, adding that if the minister is not stopped, Wike and his supporters will be consumed.
Clark, who disclosed that he was writing a book titled, “PDP: to be or no to be,” said that after criticizing former Governors Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), Dave Umahi (Ebonyi), and Ben Ayade (Cross River) for defecting to the All Progressives Congress (APC), Wike is now “dancing naked” with the same ruling party.
“After conceding that former Rivers State governor, Peter Odili and his wife made him what he is today and will forever remain grateful to them, he is now abusing them. I won’t allow him to destroy Rivers State,” Clark declared.
He alleged that, having failed to use the APC to disrupt the PDP, Wike is now using the party against itself.
