Four people killed as gunmen launch fresh attack in Kwara motor park

A fresh attack at the Ilesha Baruba Motor Park in Kwara State by some yet-to-be-identified gunmen has left at least four people dead. A counter-terrorism expert, Zagazola Makama said the gunmen also injured two people during the attack.

According to Makama, about 10 armed men invaded the popular Baruba Park at about 11.30 pm on Monday, April 21.

He said sources confirmed that the armed men opened fire on some residents relaxing at a local joint in the area.

Those who were killed during the attack include Alhaji Ja’awire, Abduljabar, and Mohammed Nasamu.

Other victims of the brutal attack are yet to be confirmed by authorities in the state.

While the bodies of the deceased victims have been deposited in Ilesha Baruba mortuary, those who sustained injuries are being treated at the medical facility in the twin.
